"My parents founded Yiamas in 2011. 16 Bath Street was given to them as an empty shell and they took on the project making use of my Dad’s many trades and recruiting help from family and friends where needed. My Dad even made the tables that you sit at today.
Opening a restaurant was a dream come true for them and after months of hard work they finally opened the doors in 2012. My Dad became our head chef, Mum worked the bar and handled all the paper work and I worked front of house. We had our ups and downs but the worst to happen was the loss of my Dad in 2016. Dealing with this and keeping the business running was an incredibly testing time but Mum and I pulled through with our determination to keep the family business alive. We recruited new staff members who learned all of our family recipes and we have stayed true to our ethos of providing our customers with fresh home Greek cooking.
Our menu is a true celebration of traditional Greek cuisine and our kitchen team gets creative with our weekly specials board too. All of your favourites can be found including ‘gyros’ which we proudly build in house for you to enjoy. If there is anything missing from the menu that you are really craving we can take requests to cook any dishes or sweets that you really miss from your time in Greece.”
"We welcome you to come and join us for a meal, an event or even just a takeaway. You will always get a warm family friendly welcome and leave with a full belly even Yia-yia would be proud of.”
